We’re proud to announce the official launch of our brand-new Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) home in Wallsend—a major milestone in our mission to provide high-quality, person-centered living options across Newcastle and beyond.
A Safe, Supportive Home in the Heart of Wallsend
This newly built SDA home has been carefully designed with accessibility, safety, and participant comfort in mind. From thoughtful layouts to inclusive features, every detail reflects our commitment to delivering homes where people with disabilities can live with dignity, independence, and the right support.
Whether you’re looking for long-term accommodation, transitioning from hospital care, or simply want to explore more empowering living options—this new SDA home in Wallsend could be the perfect fit.
More Than a House: The People Behind the Support
At Sublime Care, we believe that a home is more than bricks and mortar—it’s the people within it who make the real difference.
To ensure the highest quality of care, 10 of our incredible support workers have begun SDA-specific training, focused on complex and high-intensity support. Even more team members are joining the training sessions this week, ensuring our participants receive care that’s not only compassionate, but backed by expertise.
During our launch week, we saw our team in action—learning, connecting, and having fun. A standout moment? A training scenario where Jolene joined a wheelchair support demonstration with full enthusiasm and a big smile, creating a meaningful hands-on learning experience for the team.
New Accessible Transport to Support Independence
Alongside our SDA Wallsend launch, we’ve also introduced a brand-new accessible van. This vehicle is fully equipped to support safe and comfortable transport for participants using wheelchairs, ensuring mobility isn’t a barrier to living a full, active life.
Transport is a vital part of daily living—whether it’s getting to appointments, participating in community activities, or simply enjoying time with friends and family. Our new van is just one more way we’re investing in participant independence.
Beyond Wallsend: SDA, SIL, and ILO Across Newcastle
While Wallsend is our latest opening, we offer a wide range of NDIS accommodation supports throughout Newcastle and surrounding areas. This includes:
- SDA (Specialist Disability Accommodation): For eligible participants requiring purpose-built homes with extensive accessibility features
- SIL (Supported Independent Living): Ongoing daily living support in shared or individual settings
- ILO (Individualised Living Options): Flexible, creative support models tailored to how each person wants to live
If you or someone you support is seeking the right accommodation under the NDIS—whether in Wallsend, Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, or nearby regions—our team is here to help guide you every step of the way.
Let’s Build Real Stories Together
The launch of our SDA Wallsend home is a reflection of what we strive for at Sublime Care: to build not just services, but genuine relationships and spaces where people feel truly at home.
We also welcome and encourage our teams, families, and communities to share real-life success stories. Whether it’s a staff achievement, a participant milestone (with consent), or a meaningful moment from one of our homes—we believe in celebrating the human side of care.
