Empowering Support Workers: Quality Care through Education and Support at Sublime Care

at 12 am

Last 27th of June, a rally took place in Newcastle where passionate Support Workers came together to advocate for more training and, of course, higher pay. At Sublime Care, we wholeheartedly support their cause and want to shed light on the importance of investing in our Support Workers’ growth and development. Here’s why:

At Sublime Care, we place paramount importance on the education, training, and support of our dedicated team. We believe that by equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills. We also empower them to deliver quality and person-centred care to our Participants. Our team provides comprehensive education support and conduct competency assessment sessions for all our Support Workers. Our training covers essential areas like Safe Medication Management and High-Intensity Supports. These include trainings for Complex Bowel Care, Urinary Catheter Management, Enteral Feeding, Diabetes, and Subcutaneous Injection. We leave no stone unturned in ensuring our Support Workers have the expertise to handle diverse care needs.

Additionally, we extend our education, training, and support to encompass Participant Medical Management Plans. This includes crucial aspects like Epilepsy and Seizure Management, Asthma Management, Severe Dysphagia, and Mealtime Management. We believe that by equipping our staff with these skills. We enhance the overall quality of care delivered to our Participants. Besides, we even bring in qualified Health Professionals like Dieticians and Physiotherapists for specialised sessions to ensure the highest standard of care.

To ensure a seamless learning experience, we have a dedicated Registered Nurse overseeing all training, education, and competency assessment sessions. This expert professional provides ongoing support and guidance to our Support Workers. This enables them to continually enhance their skills and knowledge. With their guidance, our Support Workers are better equipped to provide exceptional care to our Participants.

Join us at Sublime Care in recognising the importance of empowering and investing in our Support Workers. Together, let’s champion quality care, ongoing education, and equitable compensation for those who make a difference every day! 💙
