At Sublime Care, our Domestic Assistance services provide the support you need to feel comfortable and confident at home. From help with everyday housekeeping tasks like cleaning, laundry, and tidying to assistance with meal preparation and shopping, our trained and compassionate staff are here to make daily life easier. Our goal is to ensure your home remains a place of comfort, reflecting your preferences and routine.

– Assistance with showering, dressing, and grooming to support daily hygiene
– Help with mobility and getting in and out of bed
– Medication prompts to ensure routines are followed
– General tidying, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain a clean living space
– Changing bed linens and assisting with laundry tasks
– Wiping down surfaces and mopping floors for a safe home environment
– Creating a shopping list based on preferences and dietary needs
– Assistance with transport to and from the grocery store
– Helping to carry and store groceries once home
– Support with meal planning and light cooking for balanced nutrition
– Preparing simple meals that can be easily reheated later
– Assistance with safe food storage and cleanup after meals
– Helping with feeding routines and ensuring pets have fresh water
– Light pet care, including assistance with pet grooming
– Accompanying on short pet walks, if mobility support is required
– Installing grab bars to assist you in navigating your home, as well as entering and exiting the shower or bath, and using the toilet.
– Adding handrails to stairways and steps to promote safe movement.
– Setting up handheld showerheads or easy-turn faucets to facilitate independent functioning.
– Implementing bed and chair risers to make it easier for you to get in and out of your furniture.
– Additional modifications aimed at enhancing your overall safety.
– Replacing light bulbs and fixtures to maintain proper lighting.
– Servicing sinks, taps, and toilets to ensure they function correctly.
– Fixing loose steps and treads to prevent accidents.
– Installing smoke alarms and replacing batteries for fire safety.
– Repairing and fitting window and door locks to enhance security.
– We also provide referrals to qualified subcontractors for necessary maintenance tasks when needed.
– Regular lawn mowing to keep your yard neat.
– Weed management to maintain a tidy garden space.
– Trimming and pruning of hedges and shrubs to promote healthy growth.
– General upkeep of your garden to ensure it remains inviting and well-maintained.
To provide CHSP participants with assistance in managing domestic chores, supporting their capacity to carry out everyday activities in a safe, secure, and healthy home environment. This includes time-limited services aimed at achieving wellness and reablement goals, fostering independence and well-being.
Domestic Assistance is typically provided in the home and refers to:
• general house cleaning
• linen services
• unaccompanied shopping (delivered to home).
It can include:
• bill paying (unaccompanied)
• clothes washing and ironing
• collection of firewood (in remote areas)
• dishwashing
• help with meal preparation (where this is not the primary focus of service delivery)
• house cleaning
• shopping (unaccompanied)
• washing of household linen or provision and laundering of linen, usually by a separate laundry facility.
Domestic Assistance services may also include demonstrating and encouraging the use of techniques, specific aids and equipment to improve the person’s capacity for self-management, build confidence and support client participation where appropriate.
The level and frequency of Domestic Assistance services delivered to a client must directly relate to ensuring client safety in the home.
CHSP providers do not give financial advice or offer to assist with managing a person’s finances.
Accompanied shopping, bill paying and attendance at appointments are not included under Domestic Assistance but are included under Social Support -Individual.
Domestic Assistance providers are not expected to move or re-arrange heavy furniture or items that may put them at risk of injury or harm. Domestic Assistance providers are not expected to undertake larger spring cleans. End of lease cleans are considered to be out of scope.
Normally provided in the home, however in special situations domestic assistance may be delivered at a centre where it is not feasible to deliver the service in the client’s home. For example, a day centre may provide washing facilities so that Domestic Assistance can be delivered to an individual client.
